Does anyone know if you can delete songs on iTunes without deleting it from a playlist?

I'm pretty sure if you delete the song from itunes you will permanently delete the song from the system. I am not positive but when you use your ipod, if you delete a song from the playlist it deletes it when it updates your ipod. Hope that helped.

No. You can delete from a playlist without removing them from the library, but not the other way around.
