Very true! I feel that everything has become too hectic and we have forgotten how to enjoy life. You will laugh, but I can remember a time when everything had a different pace, now we got all these devices to save us time, yet we seem to have less time to our disposal. I think that progress is going in a wrong direction and maybe we need to go back to basic and find out what will make us truely happy and focuon that rather than letting us be guided by commercialism that tells us what will make us happy. Believe me, life is short and it's up to you to make the most of it!

Yeah, it'd be great if everyone just went about their own business, without hurting anyone else (physically or psychologically). Unfortunately, human nature isn't like that (even though most of us would like to think it could be). And so we need to have people and/or institutions to try and keep all the chaos in order. Not that it ever works! Every society has big problems. Especially today's Western society with its emphasis on money, glamour, youth and all the superficiality that goes with them. I can't see media, politics and wars etc. diminishing in terms of the role they play in this wacky world.

This is only if we assume that we have reached the pinnacles of development, and that we have become wise enough to live in absolutely peace and harmony both among ourselves and also with general nature. The fact is that human life unlike the life in general nature has not reached its full potential yet. A tree in Amazonian rain forest, for example does not need to be wasteful in order to complete for survival, but things in human life are either utterly deficient in quality, therefore chaotic, or they are agitated and into the phases of compulsive development and wasteful. Therefore, in either case there is ample room for issues of war and politics necessitating media feeding hungry minds always waiting for news of some sort - filling gapes, or defining chaos. This is what seems to be most important to us today – for every sense of nothingness there must be something; if there cannot be peace then let there be issues of conflict and war but no blanks or undefined spaces; and all that in the name of peace.

The relative sense peace and calm in certain parts of the world, or within certain parts of a single society, can very easily be lost in comparisons. Peace, prosperity and development so far are relative notions, but they have to be global in order for them to be lasting and true. 'All the fuss' that you mention is unfortunately the part of parcel of normal life trying to sort itself out for a better future so much so that we the living only recognise what you call 'chill' in relation to when and where there is no 'chill' or calm and cool feeling of living in peaceful togetherness. Most importantly, if everything becomes peaceful, and as I would like to call idle, when there is still so much to do then that would be dreadful, and not natural to human nature. I think these are strange ways to see hope in all this ‘fuss’; hope in believing that all this will not go in vain in the end, and hope for having something that human mind eventually will content upon; until then it is all a journey, seemingly endless.

Life is the longest thing you will ever do!! what could you do that is longer? Just think how bored you would be. And anyway we need bad things to happen to be disgusted at, or else it would be really hard to be a good person.

One word: Survival. If you don't fight for land, you have fewer resources to survive off of. The media shows the beautiful, who are usually the ones with better genes, therefore better to reproduce with, therefore providing future generations with more chance for survival. You can trace everything to survival.
