I think it would be fun to have a start up sound that circled around me as the computer started up.

First of all you have to have at least a 4 speaker system and a sound card that handles at least a 4 speaker system and it must be properly configured. Otherwise, it will be only left and right channels. Second, you need to locate the sound file you want to do this with so you can alter it. Download and install goldwave at http://www.goldwave.com/ and enjoy the fully functional trial period.

You take your original sound file and open it with goldwave. Make the funky alterations to it and save it to a location where it will not move such as c: or move it back to its original location with a different name.

Next you need to assign your winows startup to use this sound at startup. Click start-->control panel-->sounds,speech...-->sounds and...
select sounds tab
select start windows
click browse and locate the sound file you created
click ok
click apply
restart windows to hear the new sound setup!

NOTE: The only problem I see with this is that sometimes goldwave makes the soundfile a bit bigger in size so it may slow down startup just a little bit. You may find an alternative program to create your desired sound or search the internet for one that another person has created.

It already has a default startup sound if that's what you're referring to.
