Clean bench tops and cupboards down really well, and then wipe down with a clean damp cloth that has a few drops of essential peppermint oil on it, you may need to apply a few drops of oil a couple of times.
Ants hate the smell of it and it is also environmentally friendly, and safe for humans and children, and no residue powders etc to clean up. Add the big bonus is the kitchen smells fresh and minty.

1. Clean up the surfaces and seal any sort of food substances.
2. Follow the ants to see where they are entering and exiting.
3. Use regular chalk to draw a thick line between the food source and their home. Make sure they can't go around the end of the chalk line. There is some chemical in the chalk that they won't walk on.
4. Leave the chalk there for a month or so until they find a happier hunting ground.

Use those ant traps, or raid, if that doesn't work then you need to try an exterminator, maybe they can give some advice before shelling out a ton of money.... One other thing ya can do to prevent them make sure there are no crumbs or other sugary type food particles anywhere. Good Luck!!!

ant terrier. You can find it at a hardware store. You pour the sticky stuff on a small piece of cardboard, put it near where the ants are coming from. The ants will take the sticky solution to their nest. They will be gone in a couple of days. You can get roach terrier also. It works the same way.

There is this stuff that is sold at most chinese markets. It's this chalk that you mark the kitchen with. It is non toxic, non smelly, and works better then anything on the market.
