For the past week I have been having a hard time walking. I am still carrying very low..the pressure is unbearable. When I do normal household chores or even just go grocery shopping, I come home and can barely walk. I do my daily stretches.. but nothing helps. Is this normal?

I do also get the pain on the sides of my abdomen, but that isnt the pressure I mean. Just feels really heavy, like I cant stand up straight. Its also not weight, I have only gained 4 lbs. I have Dr appt in a few days.. so I will ask.. I have Medi-cal and my OB is very unthorough she doesnt listen to what concerns I have, and brushes everything off. Makes me discouraged to ask.

The baby can be pressing on your sciatic nerve. This is painful and often causes limping or the inability to walk or sit for a long period of time. Unfortunately very common. Not sure if this is what you are feeling, but pressure on the sciatic nerve often leads to the above.

I am at 20 weeks (second preg.) and I've noticed alot of the same things you have. After standing for too long or walking around too much, I notice alot of pressure from my abdomen around to my back, as if I'm carrying a ton of extra weight and my body can't support it right. I did not feel this way with the last pregnancy until the very end when I felt huge. I'm not sure if this is what you are describing, but perhaps you could talk to your doctor? I have an appointment next week and I'm going to ask my doctor if this is normal and what I can do. More than likely, everything is fine... sometimes if you put the weight on quickly early on, it's just hard for your body to get used to that fast. That's what I think anyway... well good luck, hope it gets a little easier (maybe after the baby lifts up a little?).

I think you should call your doctor...the doctor expects pregnant ladies to have all sorts of complaints or concerns, and they don't get annoyed when you call to ask questions. Call during normal office hours, though.
I think what you might be feeling is round ligament pain. Is it low on the sides of your abdomen? I had it around 20 weeks with my first pregnancy and for a few days my whole body ached and I could barely move. It did ease up though. I've know people who had it so bad they went to the emergency room, thinking they were going into premature labor.
With my second pregnancy, I had a pain that felt like the baby was pressing on my cervix most of the time. I was working full time at a job where I had to stand the whole day. I quit working when I was six months and quit having sharp pains in the cervix.

i have the same problems, mine started about at the 19th week but they werent reallllly bad, i was hard for me to walk or roll over on the bed, but they got better until about a month ago, at 30 weeks. i am now 34 1/2 weeks and they are getting even worse as every few days go by. i have tryed so many things some make it better and some dont, the only thing that i have found that makes it better is walking, the only problem is, for me anyhow, i am a housewife, when i am home everyone else is at work, i have no one to go walking with. plus the next day it hurts alot more, the walking just helps for the day.... i do have a REALLY hard time doing any house chores, washing the dishes i have to lean over cause my back hurts. i have to stop 3 or 4 times while vaccuming to take a break for my back, and sleeping is the worst. i hope it does get better for you.
if you arnt that happy with your doc you should try and find a new one, if you can, it sounds like your doc isnt really listening to your concerns and thats really bad.

Sounds like your uterus and ligaments are stretching and your body is really sensitive to it.That would explain the pain in your sides. I'm guessing that you are a small framed woman and your baby is probably taking up a lot of space. You don't have to have a large belly, if the baby is laying between your pelvic bones at all you're going to have a hard time walking. I wouldn't worry at all about it.
The doctor is another situation. If your doctor is not making time for you, it's time for a new doctor. Unfortunately, that might be difficult with medical, but you can do it. If you have trouble and your doc doesn't give you more attention, medical might start listening to you if you keep showing up at the ER for the answers that the doc wont give you.

It sounds like it might be symphisis pubis dysfunction. This is a fairly common condition in which relaxing ligaments get too loose and the pelvis actually kind of "comes apart" farther than it should. Check here:
http://www.babyworld.co.uk/information/pregnancy/pregnancyproblems/pregprobs_pelvicjointpain.asp
It's a fairly common condition and there are some ways to treat it, usually with support garments. I have heard good things about the following one:
http://www.prenatalcradle.com/
Talk to your doc and/or midwife because the stretches you are doing may actually be making it worse if you really have SPD. Good luck!

I have to say that I have never experienced what you are talking about. I am 30 weeks and when I clean for long periods my back hurts but that is about it. I don't think you should be having that much pressure at only 19 weeks but everyone is different. I would call your doctor tomorrow and make sure everything is ok- good luck!

If yr weight is increasing ( u have a big stomach due to baby's weight), then u may find it difficult to walk. There is a chance for getting tired soon. Another reason can be weak body.
Don't worry. Happy pregnancy.

nothing like that never happened only haved swollen feet and threw up but never had a problem walking. also you should do alot sitting instead of standing up and reaching for things...and be careful also tell your husband to help you out..or if he's not there than ask someone else to help...
