I have to travel about 150 miles to school only during the holidays, so it's mostly just to get around. The car seems to be in very good condition, 1 owner, and 108,000 miles. I have to buy a cash car. It's selling for $5,000 so far. Is it too old? Can I rely on it for travel ?

Hell no! I don't care for japanese imports but that's way too much money! Any used car can break down so don't buy into the "this brand is better than that brand bs" A cheaper car can work just as well. You should have it checked by a mechanic before you buy.

Definitely too old for $5000. You can get a newer Toyota for that much money. Also a lot of mileage on the car for that price. Unless they have changed the oil, transmission fluid as recommended, changed the timing belt, and the gaskets in the engine, it will break down.

If the last owner kept up on the oil changes and normal matinees on the car it should be ok. But that is a little much for a car with that many miles on it.

I have a 96 sentra with just over 100 thous mile on it that I bought new and the only repair besides nor-male repairs has been a new starter. I would buy the car, but I would only pay $4550 for it. Nissan are a reliable car.

I think $3-4K is all you should have to spend on a 95. And do get it checked by a mechanic before you buy it. Go on Craig's list and Kelly Blue Book for comparisons.

Come on. You can get a car for 600 and you have to ask?? If it FU(KING runs, it's worth every penny of 600.00.

1500.00 to 2500.00 is a fair price for that old of a car. so no the 5000.00 tag not worth it.
