How can I turn Sync off with my IPOD. Becuase i get my songs from real player as well as ITUNES. help please. Imeadiently after I plug it in to my computer, it tries to sync which means it will erase everything thats NOT on ITUNEs. thank you..

mac:hold down command+option
pc: hold down alt+control
while plugging in iPod. This will prevent syncing, and you can then turn off autosync.

When you plug in your Ipod, Whatever you named your ipod the icon for your ipod should turn on aboutl halfway down the screen on the left hand side as you are looking at your screen click that icon-Uncheck the sync box.
I hope this helps
Just remember that you have to manually "safely remove the ipod" if you uncheck the sync or you could end up losing the music and having to reload it.
