What would you write? Articles, stories, novels, blogs?
Would you go under a pen name?

I do not mean to boast, but everyone tells me I am a fantastic writer.
I want to publish a book and article that I have already written, but I do not wish for fame. People judging you every five seconds...yuck.

Perhaps I could go under a pen name? To me, acronyms sound like the best idea. But those are solvable.

No stupid pen names such as Holly Day.

Although I would enjoy some credit, I don't want anyone to know.

Also, does anyone have any creative plot ideas? Tips for a girl who wants to be a journalist? Tips on how to write articles?

Thank you in advance for all your help and detailed, encouraging, helpful answers. (hint hint)

Happy New Year!

A lot of questions! But I'm going to focus on the pen name. I think it's a completely fun idea (and probably wise too!)

Joby (or Jobey) and Darian are both names that mean "creative".
Darby means "free spirit".

Those are just a few names that I thought might speak to you, one: as a writer, and two: wanting to keep anonymity. I always enjoy the meaning behind names, so there's one idea to work with atleast. And then I'd just pick a last name that flows well.

For some reason, I'm thinking Darby Kane. Hmmm... and since I've suggested it, I guess I give up rights to it! Ha.

As a source, I'm listing a website I found that is interesting and pretty helpful. :) Good luck!

I'd write anything that came to mind, which is what I already do. I don't know that I'd go under a pen name, but I have thought about dropping my last name for writing, just because I love my middle name so much. If I were to use a pen name, I might use a combination of the names of some of my good friends and/or their nicknames.

Just write what you feel....a writer writes. For me it is as simple as that. I did start writing fanfiction about my favorite television show, which helped me improve narration and other basic skills because I didn't have to worry so much about the characters as they were already there for me.

Hope that helps(I know it might not for journalism), and happy writing! :)

Actually...I used a pen name when I published something that was...basically because the money was good, but I didn't want me associated with it. For something I'm proud of, I'll put my name on it.

I wouldn't worry about it. No offense, but even if your book did get pretty popular...its not like people would come up to you like you're J.K. Rowling. For the most part, people care about what writer's write...not the actual writers themselves.

WRITE WHAT YOU KNOW AND YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A JOB.

JOURNALISM IS THE MOST LUCRATIVE WAY TO GO!
