I am frustrated because it starts and stops within like 2 secs. yeah, i tried all players like real,mpc,vlc. I also have avi movie player in which if u click on properties, when it stops the frames played also stops. any suggestions.?

I guess VLC media player does a great job in fixing a broken AVI movie. Other free tools are not that great.

If u are getting some msg like codec could not be found, try installing K-Lite codec pack.

I'm not great at this stuff, but one thing you can try, is, if you know that your movie is not corrupt try to import it into a program called "Windows Movie Maker" It will divide into sections but thats fine, just drag the clips onto the timeline in the right order. When you get this far click file and "Save movie File" it will take some time to save. This might work, as it has for me the odd time. By editing the movie, sometimes it helps to read it better. It's worth a try. (you can also watch the movie while editing)

well, if all those media players have the same results then maybe there is a problem with your computer. it could be that you have not enough video memory, RAM, or too many tasks running.

did you try nero showtime. it's got good reputation with corrupted files
