eyeshadow is too overwhelming usually so just liner on the botton and top and lots of mascara usually works for me with a little shimmer on the lids or inside near the tear ducts.

I first put a foundation on my face. Once accomplished, I get out my trusty black eyeliner crayon/pencil thing and apply it either to both the top and bottom of my eyes or just the bottom, depending on the occasion. If I decide to use eye shadow, I put that on next. I like to use colors that really make my eyes pop, but I'm also a fan of making my eyeshadow really stand out by using unusual colors and such. My next step is to apply mascara. For me, I use a curling, lengthening, black type, which is used for more than one coat.

As a little tip, I use white or pink shimmery eyeshadow on the undersides of my eyebrows and the inside tear duct to make my eyes look more alive.

Always wear eyeliner and mascara -- no matter what color of shadow. Also make sure to draw a deeper shadow from mid eye to outer corner and back to mid eye on lid with a contouring shadow. Doing the last outer edge eye V shape makes the eye wider and more dramatic. Also, apply highlighter to inner corner area between nose and eyes and underneath eyes to lighten dark circles. Using skin tone makeup or primer on eyelids lets your eyeshadows stay more true to color. Make sure to hightlight at the brow bone with a light color to open up the eye area even more.

Me myself ... I have a medium skin tone so I use shimmer eyeshadows. I use a gold for the corners of my eyes, chocolate brown for the line and then a white shimmer for under the brow for a bit of enhancement. It sounds like a lot but it's really not. Also if you use a white or cream colored shadow in the corner near the bridge of your nose it brightens your eyes.

I like to do a smokey eye in brown shades, with dark black liner, and a lengthening mascara. It really makes my blue eyes stand out.

usually, I wear a natural brown color with a lil bit of gold. Then, I apply my liquid eyeliner. Using a pencil at the top on mys it harder becuz usually its gone by the time u get out of the door. then, i use pencil at the bottom. when that is done i put mascara on.

apply your shadow very sparingly(lightly) pastel colors on the outside and darker colors on the middle matching color on the lid
dust off all excess shadow for a nice soft look if you use a liner make a very thin line on the lid very little mascara go for the soft lilook
