they work in the car cd player and in my computer,
SO
is there a specific kind of cd i can buy to where it will work even in my stereo???

Your stereo probalby isn't capable of playing CDR's. Check with your paperwork and see... if if plays commercial CD's ok.. .but not ones that you burn.. thats the case. CDR's are the ones that you burn..probably on a computer or other recording device.

Maybe the stereo doesn't allow burn cds or you burned it with a dvd instead.

Your stereo has to be CD-R/RW compatible. If it is not it will not play 'burned' cd's. Upgrading the cd's will do you no good, you will have to upgrade the stereo.

yea this happens to me but in the cd player in my car. some cd players cant read certian types of the blank cds. also, if you burned it in mp3 format, a regular cd player cant read it. usually newer cd players can read the burnable cds (but still not the mp3s!)

It must just be your stereo. that happend to me then i got a new one and they worked.
