Typically you would want to throw it six weeks to two months before the due date. She is fully pregnant....but no so pregnant that she may have already had the baby by the time it rolls around!!
If she is due in May....shoot for a late March shower. If she is due in June....shoot for an April one. (April showers.....you may have a theme right there??)
Don't forget the diaper cake!!! Great centerpiece...sure to get the conversations going at the party....PLUS it can double as the gift for mom!!

I think it's best to have the baby shower about a month before the baby is due. It gives the mom something to look forward to and it gives them plenty of time to get things in order for the baby. Plus, having the shower at the end of the pregnancy allows the mother to make a good baby shower list. Throughout the pregnancy we buy stuff for the baby, and with the shower being a month before the baby's born, you can make a list of the things you don't already have for the baby or just ask everyone to get you diapers.

I am having mine in March and I am due on May 8, 2007. I want plenty of time to get the room just right and wash all baby clothes, get nipples all clean for bottles. All that good stuff. So a month and a half to 2 months is ok. I am sure she will be greatful she had the extra time!

I would say in her 7th month. 4 months is too soon. That's when my cousin's wife and my other cousin had one.
I wish I had a friend like you to plan a baby shower for me, cuz I didn't have one.

well this is just me, but i am 34 weeks pregnant now, and i had mine on nov 11th. the reason is because i didnt want it to be to close to the holidays, and i didnt wanna wait to much after the holidays because jan is a popular month in my family for birthdays, and i also didnt want it to be to close to my due date (which is feb 8th), i heard that sometimes babys can come early. but everyone else that i know of that isnt due so close to a hoilday have them closer to there due date, like my sister had hers 3 weeks before she was due. but just remember you gotta leave her enough time to wash all the baby stuff that she gets and get it all together before she goes into labor. being really pregnant, sometimes its hard to do alot in one day.

purchase a dozen one-use cameras and set them out on the tables. motivate the visitors to take candid photos for the duration of the bathe. especially exciting in case you have a mixture of fellows and girls, and a keg. place a sticky label on the backside of one of the cups or dessert plates. Have a prize unique for this. in the previous the honorary opens her presents, ask each and every person to benefit their (cup/plate) for the sticky label. Award them the prize. After the honorary has been interior the path of the room and mingled with visitors, ask her to depart the room. supply all visitors a sheet of paper and a pencil/pen. Ask them to checklist : a million. what colour replaced into her good/shirt/shirt 2. what colour replaced into her skirt/pants 3. what colour have been her footwear 4. replaced into she wearing jewelry 5. describe her rings winner with the main maximum fabulous solutions wins a prize. place toddler products down interior brown paper bags. selection each and every bag and write down the article interior. Have each and every customer attain in and touch the article and wager the call or form of product. Write their call and answer down at each and every station. on the tip, show the main fabulous products in each and every bag, supply those presents to the honorary. Then tally the main fabulous solutions and award that guy or woman a prize. I attended the bathe for my bride, through fact she did not be attentive to most of the human beings my mom/sister invited. It replaced into especially exciting.
