You're right. I don't know and I don't feel obligated to know.

1 million percent there is proof God Exists! God is there all the time. He is a good God and forgives.

First, you must have faith. Does faith sound silly to you? Then take the idea of the wind for example. You can't touch it. You can't put it in a bowl and eat it. You can't see it either....BUT you can FEEL it. You know its there!

I went to a Catholic College and I am a Christian. When I took my undergrad, one of the required courses I had to take was Theology. The "father" that taught my class really opened my eyes about the Bible. The bible was designed to use stories to deliver a message. For example, some people like to debate that Noah lived to be 987 years old according to the math in the bible. Then its a debate about if years were measured in different ways. Just look at our currancy exchange rates. Every country has a different value for a numerical symbol. The point here is that you must be able to look beyond what you see in front of you and focus on the big picture ahead of you. If you ride a bike and only look 3 feet in front of your nose you will be destine for a bad accident. You have to look beyond then whats just in front of your face.

This may be something you may want to debate but why do soooooo many terminal people that never believed about God go to a preacher to be saved right before they die? I guess, let me leave you with this thought....lets say your right and there is no God- BUT....ponder on this...what if you are wrong! What if there is a God....where do you think you will end up then? It won't be a room from above.

I wil pray for you and the others on here that need guidance.

If you would like to debate this more or open your eyes to God...try stopping in to any Christian church and speak with a minister. I'm sure you will leave with all the proof you need.

Peace & God Bless you!

Hi, Rev. Welcome to Answers, as I see you are new today.

This is the hardest question any of us ever faces. I am often envious of people who have strong faith. I would so like to be like them. Why am I not? If the will is there, why doesn't belief follow?

There are times when I look around me, at all the things that make life wonderful, and I think, How could there not be a God? Aren't my surroundings proof enough?

But at other times, the very thought seems preposterous, and I get upset that I'm never shown an overt sign.

We're each part of one big network. Is there a core to this network? This isn't the internet we're talking here! This is life!

These contradictions play back and forth in my head (not constantly, thank God - no pun intended), and I'm never sure what is real and what isn't.

I guess this means that I qualify as a true agnostic - not just someone who doesn't have a clue, but rather someone who has investigated and studied and still can't reach a conclusion.

At any rate, I don't believe, with his omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence, that God has a humanoid body, despite our supposedly having been created after His image. If He exists, my vision of Him is rather as a form of energy, and not as a creature having conscious thought or intent - which is why we can't blame Him when things go wrong.

P.S. I just had to come in and modify - looked at your 360 and see you're in Fairborn! I'm in Springfield. Small world, huh? :-)

Well science has proven the bible more so than disproved it.

Where did everything come from? Okay big bang, how did that happen?

The intelligence behind the cycles of life, everything around us - Simply put how can something as grand as what is around us just came to be from a single atom - Wait where did that atom come from?

Everything is to perfect to deny the fact that it was created by nothing - Something of a higher intelligence had to of designed it and started it all.

Look at humans compared to all other life? All life has a purpose in natures cycle except humans - We are like a virus to the world because we destroy it - Look at our advancement over other life - If you speak of evolution why wouldn't there have been other animals close to us or maybe smarter walking around?

All I am saying is the denial of something that is far more intelligent created all these is stupid. If you want to accept evolution and the bigbang well thats fine but science proves that you can't make something from nothing, it had to have a beginning - Where did the beginning begin.

This is all steering away from religion, going off of pure science you can't deny that a higher being or intelligence was behind what we know

So far it can't be proved or disproved but there is some circumstantial evidence, mainly the many tales of near death experiences with the light at the end of a tunnel and the person moving toward the light, often arriving to find loved ones waiting. I've always dismissed these stories as some physiological brain quirk but have grown less certain as I'm heard this story from some people I actually know.

No one can prove there is a God through scientific evidence alone. But if you consider that there is a strange tendency in humans to recognise that there is some kind of "force" behind a sense of right and wrong, good and evil, and fair play, it strongly suggests that some kind of God exists. Even if scientists show that it's just some part of the human brain that "feels" some kind of God-like presence, one should ask "why would the brain develop that way?". It would suggest that perhaps a God wanted humans to develop a brain that could somehow recognise Him. I don't buy the idea that the brain developed a sense of God because having a sentient mind aware of a finite existence would be too painful.

Look beyond the obvious. For example if there are is no God how does a valve in the human heart close at the first breath if there was evolution. Darwin said the human eye eluded any explanation evolution could offer. Then if you examine the chaos theory you will find many scientist who have found a god. Try reading case for faith by Lee Stroble. He was an atheist who was a lawyer and law reporter who set out to examine the facts

Never thought about it philosophically. I am religious. I believe not only in God, and that Jesus Christ was the true Son of God, but also that there is the Holy Ghost, which gives a true Christian power to heal, cast out demons, and pour out the gifts of the Spirit to others in need. I have personally witnessed the Holy Ghost moving and speaking, and the Spirit of God has dealt in my heart and in my life, and made changes in me that cannot be explained by any means other than that of the grace and love of Jesus Christ. Unless you experience these things for yourself, you will never be certain of them, and for that I am truly sorry for you. And in turnabout, which is fair play I cannot prove to you what I know in my heart, which is that God exists - but I submit that you or noone else can prove that there IS no God! May the love of Christ and the peace of God be upon you and yours.

I always approach this question from an anthropological standpoint. Humans supposedly were the first species to mourn their dead. Well, there may be others (I think elephants mourn their dead as well) but we were the first to hold ritual for our dead, claimed to be able to talk to the dead, etc. And the greatest human mystery of all is what happens after we die. We can speculate till the cows come home but the truth is we really don't know. And that is one theory why religion came to pass as part of human society. Everyone says the world's oldest profession is prostitute; it's not, it's actually a shaman or holy man. Having faith that a higher power will guide us through life and ultimately take care of us when we die helps the human race accept the inevitability of death. I am not at all slamming religion and I myself believe in a higher power but I do think it is a valid argument.

Well God ,Karma or something that I do pray to everyday .. God as I call em ,but well Im 52 years old.. Had a wild teen years ,married first time to a wife with outlaw family that hated me.divorced her and had a death wish and put myself in harms way all the time. cursed God and pretended that I didnt believe.. although deep down I always felt deep down there was one.. My mother was a devout christian for over 50 years ,she lived it.. I saw miricle after miricle in her life and she prayed for me as a child when i was sick . I always got better.. What i was getting to with my life .. was that I turned my back on what people called God ..pretended that there was none.. I was in many situtations that there was no way out.. I mean None .. but came out of all of them unharmed and in good shape..No human cared nor could have helped.. but I came out ok. Also I had a 15 year old that got cancer terminal cancer, they told us she was going to die.. 12 years later she is fine healthy and has a baby girl.. my second wife got cancer and they told her she was going to die.. 14 years later she is still here they dont know why . it was gone when the looked again..We escaped new orleans , sold our home easy ,found a wonderful place in the southwest , built our home quicker than anyone has ever heard of happening and was in it by winter time.. now I ask you.. do you believe ?I think i do .. As a matter of fact for years I would pretend that I didnt believe in God but he never stopped believing in me.. Im not that religous..I try to be good to others.. think about and do the right thing.I pray and try to be the best I can be towards everyone and everything so hope this makes a difference to you ..what i have told you ..God sure made a difference to me.. and as far as proof I think that I have had enough proof to believe.. one day maybe you will too,but really its up to you .. God doesnt want anyone to feel pressured into believing.. so that is how i feel

I know Jesus Christ existed and scriptures back then existed and the history is factual. Place names and people are recorded.
The Koran is another version but I go with the original as the real. I know of no Muhammed in the Hebrew or Greek scriptures, God never prophesied that the Bible needed to be rewritten.
Waiting for God to slap you before you believe in him is a bit too late and illogical, doing personal research and study in God's inspired word is knowledge you can gain now.
A lot of people who do not believe or even say they believe in God have not much knowlege of the Holy Scriptures to make their findings.
