I don't think so. I like this one poem by Aeschylus.
"He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom by the awful grace of God."

I have experienced many challenges in my life. Do I think I am wise, to a certain degree. However, that all goes out the window when dealing with the teenage children. I know I am wise, I just wish I could get them to understand that fact when I am giving the advice. Instead I get "you were right, why didn't' I listen". So I guess I'm not all that wise if I can't get two 17 year old and a 19 year old to take my accurate advice
An example of challenges would be:
House burned down when I was 9
Baby brother born with problems 2 days later
helping dad overcome alcoholism, Successfully
Fighting to get and keep my job in a male oriented field
Fighting to maintain my pregnancy with my son
Raising my son when my ex walked out
Losing my role model and main supporter DAD to cancer
Finally, being diagnosed with a certain disease that caused me
to retire earlier then planned from my beautiful job
Each of these also had their own little sub categorIEs ie:lack of food, clothing medical care etc. but we were happy and never knew any better. We were wise enough to get out of that situation, all 5 of us. SO, maybe you do need challenges of some type to become wise or maybe some people just have old souls. I wish I was wise enough to stop typing about oh, 1 sentence into this, have a sparkling day.

I honestly don't think its possible mate, you need those challenges to learn from mistakes and take more challenges on, you need the challenges for street smarts etc.
Life is one massive learning experience.

Mmmm, I don't really see how.
Experience brings depth, and, with any luck, compassion..

Yes, I may be naive, I may not have experienced a lot in life, but that does not mean I have to be foolish in my actions.

yes you can...
it's by seeing the mistakes others have made & not doing them
for instance..
my youngest daughter saw all the things her oldest sister did..& thankfully decided she wasn't going to make those same mistakes...
