I think the driving force is the wife. A man will stay in a marriage with a partner on the side for as long as the wife allows it. He is comfortable at home and doesn't want to give up his lifestyle. If the wife kicks him out, and has truly had enough, he won't have any other choice but to leave. Men seem to thrive on pride, power and money. If they divorce, they lose a lot of this.

It is not a driving force for a man to leave his wife and kids. Statistically men leave because they either fail or are F ups to begin with. Life is hard whether you are male or female as women can be just as bad as men. People marry for wrong reasons sometimes or one or the other cheat or there is domestic violence, etc, etc, etc. There are alot of good people out there and it just seems like people don't meet the right one for them and it becomes chaotic!

A lot of men cheat or leave their wives because they no longer feel loved or appreciated by their wives. They want someone who makes them feel good (not just physically), spends time with them, doesn't nag them all the time, acknowledges them, and shows their love for them.
Some are just idiots. lol They have great wives and children, a great life, but become selfish and who knows what else. They just lose their minds or something. I don't understand men (or women) like that.

Well, men likes young women. So nothing will drive him to leave his family besides a young attractive girl. So if you're a women, I suggest you dress up everyday and don't let your husband be bored of you or else he will go date other women- cheating on you!

its hard to answer that without knowing both. usually when a person had decided to break up a family its because they want more in a relationship than thier mate is willing to give and they decide enough is enough and leave. if u want a better answer give better facts

it's just the thought of being with someone different ,someone that give him the time of day... someone that treats him special....someone that makes him happy .....that someone that makes him want to come back for more...and more...sorry about your situation...try being that person ....it might help
