how can i remove stain from suede shoes?

can i just use water and regular laundry detergent?

Go to a shoe repair shop. They sell products to clean suede. It is not expensive. Don't ruin your shoes trying a bunch of products that are not designed to clean suede.

No that will pack the pile of the suede leather. Try a light colored eraser and rub gently.
