You can use a converter purchased for this type of purpose. Not a very cheap path to follow.

Some video cards come with special cables that convert one specialized port into multiple uses such as A/V, S-Video, Audio, ect. One such video card manufacturer is ATI (the radeon card series and all in wonder)

Most new video cards that are not bottom of the barrel have at least a S-Video port you can connect your T.V. to, given that your T.V. has an S-Video port to accept it.

NOTE: S-Video does not carry sound, it is dedicated video only. You will have to route your sound from your sound card to the T.V. speakers using a audio jack to RCA cable since most T.V.s don't have an audio jack input port.

I don't know with a regular cable. Certian video cards have other ports on them such as an s-video so that you may connect a tv. Check out www.tigerdirect.com and look at different video cards, maybe you can find another cable there to for you to use to connect to tv.

firewire and USB can connect to some Tivo/DTV boxes (which connect to your TV). Some PCs also are made to connect to your TV with media connection outlets (and specific instruction on the manufacturer's web sites).
