I think they're pretty good for an untrained artist... you show natural talent.

However, I think you'd really benefit from practice drawing the figure from life... I'd suggest looking for figure drawing workshops, groups, or classes in your area. Many areas have groups of artists who meet weekly to draw the figure--those groups usually have very inexpensive drop-in fees ($5-10)... just enough to pay for the model.

My background is in computer games and I've been teaching game art & design for the last few years. That's the recommendation I give many of my students. Even if you're going to be drawing fantastical creatures, you need a solid foundation in the human figure & anatomy.

Best of luck!

Okay so you're critics here are age 44 and 11 both of us female.

My son had a drawing talent from a VERY young age and it never came from a drawing class. IN fact he was insulted when we suggested a class.

He went through some terrible growing pains, angry at the world and stopped drawing. He swears he can't draw anymore.

Why am I telling you this??? Some people will not understand the drawings you have posted........my daughter and I say "awesome", keep it up, and if you have critics who think your drawings are "weird" or whatever........don't let it take away your inspirations!!

Oh and the Barney thing, WE UNDERSTAND TOTALLY, lol!

It looks great! but I might suggest to try other projects other than fantasy and science fiction. Also try to loosen up your art, give it some movement, Your work looks great but there always room for improvement Trust my answer I started out like you did and now I am a freelance graphic artist. So keep going and as they say WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU WILL MAKE YOU STRONGER I dunno what it means either lol take care and good luck

They're very good, I wish I could draw like that!

Do you have a DeviantArt site? It might be an easier way to show people your artwork and get comments on it!

For one who has taught themselves, I think your pretty damn awesome. My drawing skill is about the same as yours, and I'm taking university courses, so that really says a mouthful
