Others have answers correct, in that

3x = -5x, therefore 3x + 5x = 0, 8x = 0, x = 0.

I just wanted to add (as a side note) that it is NEVER a good idea to divide by a variable because you eliminate values as a result. For instance,

3x = -5x

Divide both sides by x, and we get

3 = -5, which implies no solution. But there is a solution (x = 0), so we've just eliminated one.

Just as an FYI.

So x = 0.

Unless you mean something else...

Has to be 'zero', by elimination. Multiply anything by two different figures and get the answers to be equal - has to be zero.

Divide by 3x on both sides.
x = 1.6
