I didnt until I had my first ultrasound and the doctor told me how far along I was.

Yes, you start counting your pregnancy from the first day of your last period.

I would go by weeks it's a little easiers since everyone counts the months differently. The bleeding you got was probaby implantation bleeding which is very normal in early pregnancy. If you keep spotting call your doctor immediatly since it could be something more serious. Good Luck.

if you know your last period, go back three months and then add two weeks and that is your estimated delivery date. even if you spotted a little does not mean you were not pregnant then so do not count that as your last period.

the first day of your last period is the start of your pregnancy.
