My boyfriend got me a necklace for Christmas but it broke, so I'm having him return it. He was going to get me a different one. But, I am 16 and doing a school project and I'm printing a lot of stuff out. My mom doesn't expect me to pay for it, but I feel bad if I use it all up. I really want a necklace but I told my boyfriend to just give me gift cards to Office Max so I can buy one for the family printer and there isn't enough money left over for a necklace, so I told him to get the rest of the money at Target. I guess there is always next year for jewelry. Do you think I should just get the necklace or pay for the ink cartridge?

His gift was a necklace.... let him get you a new one and buy the ink yourself. He picked out the necklace and wanted you to have it... that is so sweet. Why would you want to hurt his feelings. Even if you don't need the necklace it is the thought that counts and is rude to not replace it. He will feel like crap and will think his gift ment nothing to you....don't insult him.

I know your Mom appreciates your thoughtfulness. If you used the ink cartridge for your school work, then I am sure your mom doesn't expect you to pay for it.
