what's wrong with it?

my brother has a laptop (Acer TravelMate 2451WLCi with intel Celeron M) and it's so slow he would click on anything and it would take minutes for it to pop up why is it so slow and can he do anything to make it go faster? I also have a laptop and (hp pavillion zv600) we have the same programs so why is mine faster?

Sounds like it is busy doing something. Start it up in safe mode and disable those processor hungry programs.

Try to do a routine sypware or adware scan.
Or you can start deleting trash from the PC.
After that try to defrag the disk.
