you already sound like you need to modify your thoughts a little bit.

when you learn a sport, they dont teach you to do things fast, they teach you to do them right. the same thing applies to what you learn at school. guitar is no different, if you practise based on speed, you'll only speed up any mistakes you make, and then they'll be harder to cope with.

as a guitar instructor, i'd recommend figuring out HOW you learn best. from a book? from your friends? from a one on one lesson? maybe a video, or just by listening intently. everyone picks things up differently, but in the long run, the only thing that will make you a great player is spending a lot of time with your instrument, and i'd strongly suggest taking things slow to start, until they feel natural, THEN, and only then, should you focus on going faster.

Seems people are coming down on you kinda hard... Truth is, you probably cannot learn to play in a very short amount of time, but you CAN learn faster than most. IF you put in more practice time at it than the others. That's about it. When I started playing, as a teenager, I would practice ALL DAY LONG, just about. So... If you practice all day AND all night, you'd be getting in twice the practice time. (Of course your brain would be mush from lack of sleep, so it wouldn't realy be like twice the time, maybe one and a third or so.) But, sure... If you REALLY bust your buns, you might be able to pick it up in fewer days/months/years than your contemporaries.

you can't really learn "Fast" but you can teach yourself... you can find some tips and stuff if you search google for guitar chords etc... or you can do what i done and pick up a beginner's guitar book and go from there... they generally have everything you need to know... the best one i have at this stage is 'progressive guitar method book 1' their website is www.learntoplaymusic.com

practice practice practice!

play till your fingers bleed to the scale, easy songs and what comes naturally after that (what you feel), learn notes and chords and progress on to songs that are not real complicated until you are ready to tackle the tougher stuff.
