I am currently and early education major and am thinking of changing my major to fit with what I want to do. I love to work with children and teaching is somthing I can see myself doing, but my dream is to do somthing with music. So If I am able to keep my major and still be able to get a job in the music industry that would be great!!!

Maybe tweak your major to music education or add some classes in music business. Many universities to have programs/majors in the music business field. If your heart isn't really into teaching, I'd seriously start looking for at least a backup minor. It's hard to say not knowing how far along you are with the early education program.

"The song industry" is an previous behemoth that basically refuses to go with the cases and makes use of the RIAA and MPAA like a battering ram. it somewhat is totally almost psychotically incapable of foresight and could die a loss of life on the palms of progression. Given the ability of P2P and social networking on the internet, independant song manufacturing (even on the smallest funds) is a practicable option to any business complicated - and supply the artist extra freedom than a labelled settlement ever would desire to, with the possibility for commercial success that is going previous the "record an album to get observed then excursion your self to loss of life to gets a commission" mentality it somewhat is the inspiration of the industry because it now stands. and that's in the previous we even evaluate the rewarding factors of advertising. temporarily: you do not would desire to bend to the industry to capitalise from it recently, and any good direction would desire to rigidity this. (after all, you're probably basically taking a direction on the grounds which you will desire to make funds from what you learn.)
