What do you get out of drinking that makes it worth the amount you spend?

How many hours, after taxes, do you have to work to pay for drinking?

Do you bear any other non-money costs of drinking? If you add in that cost is it worth it?

Really want to know.

I'm assuming you are not trying to be obnoxious. I would say, as a monthly average, probably $120 goes toward drinking and entertaing at bars. It is part of my job to discuss things with people outside of work in bars, so, one might say I am occassionaly paid to drink.

What I get is this: drinking is fun; drinking affords a civilized person some relaxation; drinking--in moderation--is money well-spent as it is like a blue-collar holiday anytime I want one.

Do you have any bad habits? A question for you: is that a plank in your eye?

thats impossible to say. some months i drink more than others. also lots of people have a 'hook up' so they dont have to pay for all or full price for drinks. not mention various cost differences in cities vs smaller towns. you gotta guesstimate. figure 1 heavy drinker drinks 15-20 drinks (beer, mixed, shots ect.) per night they go out. Figure a heavy drinker drinks at least 3 nights per week and each drink costs 4 bucks, plus tip, so 5 bucks. So thats about 300 bucks. But heavy drinkers usually frequent a bar where they have a hook up and friends who buy rounds so it figure about 200 dollars a week for the heavy drinker.

i'm a bartender so i drink a lot at work. since i'm also female i get a lot of drinks bought for me. sometimes me and a friend will buy a bottle and chill at someones house. i probably pay very little...i guess it just loosens you up. i guess the non monetary costs are hangovers, blacking out, making someone mad at you that you don't remember...ect....i only drink like 3 days a week though. it must be worth it or i wouldn't keep doing it. whats with all the questions? i think you should go get trashed and answer your own question...

Vodka, I extremely have a *few* drinks on a *occasional* foundation and vodka with nutrition ordinary cola is sturdy, low-priced, nutrition ordinary friendly, and that i will nevertheless visit artwork and bark orders and no person is the wiser. purely downfall is watching how a lot vodka is getting poured because of the fact that is sparkling and much better than wine.

Yeah, it's worth it. Just hanging out and shooting some pool and talking **** with the other bar flies is the best feeling in the world. It's nihilism, but there is something to be said for nihilism.
