I had my last period on Dec 1st. Had protected sex on the 8th and 9th but boyfriend came inside the condom while he was inside me. I took the pill that day, the 9th and have been on it for the month. Had intercourse again in the week of Dec 18th. My last pill was on the 29th of Dec. Im supposed to get my period by now but nothing yet, just occasional brownish spotting. I'm a lil scared that I mite be pregnant. I didn't take the pill all the time, at the same time as I was advised. But i didn't miss a pill. I have a bit of dizziness and headache today. I don't wanna be pregnant rite now. It's so scary.

Hi-to my knowledge you are still safe-meaning not pregnant-at all-even if your boyfriend had a leak in the condom-you are not ovulating on Dec. 9- After the 14th of December-if a condom leak then you may get pregnant. You are only nervous and getting panicky. It could be the estrogen-hormone-from the pill-making you dizzy or if you are anemic-that would cause dizziness. The spotting could be premenstrual effect of the pill also.

Assume that your last day of your last period was 4 Dec; the safe window period for sex would be from 5-14 Dec. Your ovulation starts 15 Dec. You had sex during your ovulation thus there is a risk that you can get pregnant. But then you were on pill thus the changes of you getting pregnant is slim. However, you will need to wait for about 6 weeks after your missed period to do a pregancy test to confirm your pregnancy. My advice is be disciplined when taking pills. You need to complete each cycle to be effective.

When I was on the pill, my last pill would always be on Saturday and then I would get my period anywhere from Monday to Thursday, Wednesday being the average day every month. HOWEVER...I took the pill regularly, everyday, same time. Also, they advise that you use other means of birthcontrol the first month of starting the pill because it's just getting into your system and might not work. Be careful!

I think if your boyfriend was using a condom and it worked (i.e. didn't break, slip, etc) then you're probably fine, but remember, no birth control is 100%. You better be careful!!

You are supposed to take the pill within a 2-3 hour span of a "designated" time each day. If you forget, or a skip a pill or take two in one day, this causes spotting - the brownish stains you're talking about. I believe if you're spotting, you shouldn't be pregnant. It's just a side effect from the change in the timings of the pill. Doing this continuously could also ruin your cycle, so be careful.
Just to be on the safe side, take a home pregnancy test.

My guess is that the headache is a good sign that your periods are just starting, the brownish spots are another sign. You should not worry for now. Make sure to go to bed with protection on, for you might very well wake-up with your periods going at normal flow. Give yourself a couple days. Sometimes your rhythm gets upset with the change of pace, it could just be the result of the year end celebrations...

first of all my wife and i come across this situation all the time and she has been on the pill for about 3 years her periods are usually timed until abou a day to three , she tells me thay this pill has to entirely leave the body before you can concieve and that can take about 3 to 12 months . so I would not worry too much . you may get an ept test kit for about 10 bucks thats better than going to the doctor too soon and paying more.

The brown spotting could be old dryed blood. When you take the pill for so long you can stop having a period. I took the pill for years and after awhile I stoped having a period. Take a prego test and see what happens.

Taking pills late or skipping pills can effect the effectivness of your birth control pills. Im not sure what you meant by "I didn't take the pill all the time, at the same time as I was advised. But i didn't miss a pill"

Just take a home test to be sure.
