If they are heavily soiled warm, if not cold will do it.The warm water fades jeans faster than cold......To prevent fading---wash wrong side out.......

I use warm water for blue jeans, but if they are blak then I use cold water. You can also add a cup of table salt to your wash and this will keep the black jeans from fading.

If you want them to fade faster, use warm. I think washing in warm water is usually unneccessary. Go ahead and use the cold.

I usually use warm water. It's a lot easier on the clothes. Unless your clothes are really filthy, greasy that should do the trick.
