My computer has an s-video port and so does my TV. I bought an s-video cable from Best Buy. After my TV and computer got connected with the cable, I hit the menu button on my TV and I set the TV on s-video. After that, it depends on what computer you have. I have an IBM Thinkpad so I had to add a new display scheme after I pressed Fn and F7 together.
I'm sure there are other ways, but this is one way.

If you are constantly working on a computer, you can watch TV on your computer while taking a break from work, or only watch your favorite TV program. Also, you can watch a TV program while the computer is downloading data or busy with some CPU intensive process. For persons staying in a small flat, space is saved when your computer also functions as a TV. For more instructions please visit at

You'll need a video card with ether RCA out or S video.
Unless you have a plasma or HD tv, I wouldn't recommend using it, as your resolution on your monitor is exponentially better.

you can do it, if your tv has a input for a pc signal (vga, dvi, svideo)
they are adapters out there that turn signals from vga into your standard (yellow cable) so you can use the red, white, yellow combo for older tv's

alot of computers have an s-video output in the back of it so you can just buy an s-video to s-video cable. But if your tv does not have an s-video input then just buy an s-video to composite video cable.
