Are feelings of apprehension around extra-terrestrial beings considered normal? I have seen UFOs in the past and believe that I was abducted by a UFO several years ago (I recall the aliens eyes very vividly; it felt like more than just a dream).

sounds like fear of the unknown,there are spirits all over this world
and even guardian angels. they are all extra-terrestrial beings.
Adam and eve were extra-terre. also.so was Jesus.sent here
from heaven.

in the journey that they traveled to earth in an area craft they're going to be wise sufficient to study our language and then communicate freely with us. even if it took quite a even as to study our language i'm particular it would want to be tops on their priority to finish that. they could likely have more desirable technologies to assist them.
