Very long hair really comes down the sides of your head uncontrollably. Sometimes it can make you very attractive.

Happy New Year and Good Luck in your debate!
My son, 14yo has long hair, contrary to USMC career Dad's wishes. If he keeps it clean, and his grades up...he'll deal with it.
BUT absolutely no piercings or tattoos (altho Dad has).
It's thick, mostly straight, little curl...the only downside I've heard about/noticed he washes it daily, and wash it more after tennis, etc. Can cause dry scalp...dandruff.
It takes a long time to dry, especially in winter. As he catches the bus at 5:40a, he stuffs it into a beanie, under his ball cap and let's it dry at school.
The perception of others he says if they are narrow-minded and judge him based on his hair, that it's their problem, not his. He's a G/T Bacch Student, Nat'l Honor Roll, Talented musician and artist, science enthusiast and one of the sweetest democrats I know!
Only a little biased, LOL

I have really long hair that reaches my bum and there is no side effect. I have really thick and blonde hair, it's not porn star hair either. It's renaissance hair. It is very beautiful and I haven't experienced anything bad happening while having this hair.

I have very long hair that I can almost sit on. It sometimes gets caught in the door when I shut it, or in the window when I roll it back up after driving. Or blows out the window if it is raining and gets stuck to the car top. Sometimes I will roll over in bed and night and pull it, that is why I like to braid it before bed. It does take awhile longer to brush it all out and for it to dry. But I love it and all the compliments I get.

Hello What kind of hair do you have ? Are they thick and coarse ? If so it wont be so bad , your hair will be able to handle it , if you hair is thin , forget about it , they will burn and fall out. Their are new ways to straighten hair out there that can be good , theirs the Japanese silk treatment , it is very expensive but lasts 6 months and your hair does not burn or get damaged and they stay very straight and look very healthy. I would go for that , you pay more but it lasts longer and your hair will not get damaged , hope this helped!

Sure it does. If you are a guy it will drastically reduce your income unless you are a rock star or drug dealer.
If you are a girl, you might do well in the porn industry with long hair but who really knows? Like any ones checking out the hairstyle.

May prevent you from getting a certain job. People may think differently of you (if you're a male) I think long hair on men, gives the impression of "hippy, drugs, unclean, uneducated" etc. Just a thought.

well if you have hair that is extremely thick and grow it down your back it can cause headaches but otherwise it has no side effects unless they are social.
