I thought it was illegal to smoke in Movies, and TVV. Did they change the law?

Examples of Movies I've seen ACTORS and ACTRESSES smoke in:

1. I Could Go On Singing
2. A Child Is Waiting
3. Three's Comapny (TV Show)
4. Click

it is not *illegal* for actors/actresses to smoke on film. some film makers chose to not show smoking in their films, but they are not legally obligated to do so

For the patrons, it is, but for the actors in the movies, for a long time, the movie industry chose to exclude a lot of smoking, but it was never illegal for an actor to smoke on film.

It is not illegal to smoke on film, at least not in the United States. Such a law would be a clear violation of the first amendment.

Actors and actresses can smoke in the movies!! You cant tho.

It's exactly the opposite. They can smoke in movies and in older tv shows.

Do you mean for actors on TV and in movies? It is not illegal.

It is unlawful for tobacco to be *advertised* on TV, but not for the content of the TV show (or movie) to show people smoking.
