he also gav me a glass chess board game and chocolates and car products. im 33 hes 47 we hav been an item for 1 year 3 months. He gav me an anklet last xmas and a dvd player for my birthday in august.

How do you feel about it? Was it a game you mentioned you enjoyed or is there a memory attached to it that you shared with him?
My boyfriend bought me Monopoly, Scrabble and Life for Christmas which was very thoughtful of him because he knows how much I love to play games.
You are the only person that can decide how to feel about his gift. If you feel it wasn't appropriate, talk to him about it. Maybe there's an explaination that will make you feel better.

Maybe you could give it to your children if you've got any. It sounds a bit childish at your ages, but if you're into playing board games for kids over a glass of wine, I suppose it's ok. I would prefer something more grown up!

He sounds like an interesting guy, actually- thinking out of the box! Give him a kiss, laugh and say, "Is there something behind the S & L game?" He didn't skimp, so I'd say he's being creative! (DVD player for your bd- nothing to sneeze at.)

It depend, he could be a virgo- very practical gifts that he thought you need... unless you tell him what types of things you like through basic conversation he probably doesn't really know what types of things you would like for a gift. Some people just are not good with picking things out for other people.

Sounds like hints to me,
He likes to play board games with you or he wants to have kids with you so he can play snakes and ladders with kids??
So have a few drinks and play some games, I like playing scrabble with my wife after 32 years.

Is he gettin this stuff for you or secretly for him.
I would suggest asking him to keep the receipts and i´m sure he´ll get the message.Start giving him socks for xmas and bday gifts lol

maybe he just didnt know what to get you. i have to tell my boyfriend of 2 and a half years the EXACT thing i want. sometimes i even have to give him pictures, and tell him where to buy it. it takes some of the suprise out... but i dont end up with a board game.
however... sometimes the stuff he gets me on his own is cute. i understand though, that christmas presents should be special. if the board games arent your thing... maybe you should clue him in on what is. instead of dropping hints, be very obvious! guys suck at hints.
