they are back in. I am 25 and find that I care about being trendy to a certain extent. When we go uptown it is quite funny to see all these woman with skinny jeans and leggings trying to fit in with this craze. I used to dance ballet and wore calf length tights and i think its cute with a jean skirt over it but the thick leggings or printed ones are a bit much.

I think they are 'in' if you want them to be. If you feel comfortable in them, and you're not scaring the public with some horrendous fashion mistake, then go for it! I prefer not to wear them with mini skirts because that's the way all the thirteen year olds are wearing them, but they can be cute. Try to find leggings that are more hose-like instead of the thick kind. Also, stay away from the skulls, dots, stripes, and lord knows what else.

Of course they're in! At least in Boston they've been in since last fall. Now that the shock value of leggings are over, it's pretty easy to wear them with a lot of different things. Wearing them with sweater dresses is probably the best way to go. With a skirt (a jean skirt and black leggings tends to be safest) and ugg boots, of course, is a good bet and probably the easiest way to wear them. Stick with solid colors, though, if you choose to wear them. DO plenty of calf raises and DON'T wear them with a shirt that doesn't cover your butt. And definitely be reasonable with the weather - if it's cold, just don't wear them! Some girls at Boston University (where I go to school - and rated one of [like top 3, I think] the most fashionable universities nationally), some girls walk a mile to their classes in the snow with leggings and a skirt. Really, that's taking it too far.

My Entertainment Weekly magazine's fashion report just showed two different celebrities wearing the long blouse/sweater paired with leggings look as the worst fashion trend of 2006.

Yes they are back.I never liked the 80's fashions and now I know why.Leggings aren't very forgiving. You really have to have the body to wear them. The tunics and leggings outfit looks so sloppy. The skinny fit jeans are nice to wear.I am tall and have long legs so I like the skinny fit jeans. But the leggings should stay in the fitness rooms.

Of course they are, I work in a global leading fashion retail clothing store...they're comfortable, stylish, and can be worn with all your summer mini skirts (there for extending your summer wardrobe into winter) Some people can't just see it, and that's alright, fashion is about wearing it right, you don't have to follow the trends...fashion is expression of personal style..and fun!!

Leggings are stil in 100% They are great when you want to look stylish but also wear somthing comfortable at the same time. People are wearing all over my school. They look great with long shirts and sweaters, jeans skirts and short knee length dresses. Flat shoes and keds sneakers are great choices for footwear with leggings.

I think people wear them with mini skirts and the only reason the wear them with mini skirts is so they can wear them during the winter. This fashion will end in the summer, maybe even spring. Who knows if it will come back next winter.

yeah i see a lot of people in my town wearing it too. I think its cute, as long as its worn properly. I like it when it is worn with a a long tunic. It looks really bad when people wear it with short jean skirts.

As a teenager, I think they are super tacky and overdone. Too many people, especially teenagers and those in 20s, are doing it totally wrong. They always wear it with a skirt but shouldn't be worn at all.
