What is an American vacation destination that you can find historical and/or nature sites?

My vote would be for this countries first National Park, Yellowstone. To visit it is to truly be amazed by the power and beauty of Mother Nature.

Where else can you see geysers of steaming water shoot into the air, travel down the road and be stopped by a herd of buffalo leisurely crossing your path and unfazed by man, witness packs of wolves hunting in their native environment (after being reintroduced to it, of course), and marvel at geological feasts for the eyes like pools of sulfur water creating intense rainbow colors that seem almost unimaginable?

Considering the last time I visited this amazing place was when I was 13 years old, nearly 20 years ago, I think it is safe to say that a trip to Yellowstone will leave an impression on you! I hope you'll consider it... Happy travels!

Last year we took our granddaughter to williamsburg,Va.
We toured the colonial settlement it was just like going back in time & she really enjoyed it . then we jumped on the subway & went to Washington DC. We saw the white house , the Smithsonian museums & more.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom resort for a lot less than others did for their hotels without kitcens ect..
Weeven got discount tickets at the front desk.

How about the Rocky Mountains or Yellowstone National Park? They would probably have nature sites and be inexpensive.

Certainly the Roanoke area is historical and nearby is Williamsburg.
There's tons of hiking places nearby and Roanoke is laid out to mix the hiking with the historical.

I would go to Boston or somewhere in New England, they have the most history there, and I have heard the scenery is also beautiful... that is my next destination in the US!!!
