Honda is 23 city 32 highway mpg.
Camry is 25/34 for the manual transmission four-cylinder and 22/31 for the V6.

camry is better in mileage but not as durable as the honda platform. toyota suspension and components are "mushy" and made for low stress driving. civic/accord seem a little more durable able to take a bit more punishment before breakdown.
also depends on whether you get 4cyl or 6cyl....4 cylinder would obviously get more mileage. I had an accord VTEC 4cyl that would do 155mph with very little work. (of course at 155 mileage aint all that great)

Civic's a little smaller car, so it should be a little better...but the Camry will be pretty good, too.

stick with the civic. they are smaller, faster cars. the camry is more of a grandma car. plus, the civic gets good gas mileage

why does you loving cars have anything to do with the gas mileage? if you really love cars get something that is actually fun to drive, not just an econobox. you can go on the car company's website and look at the car's gas mileage if you want to.

Civic weighs less, so it takes less energy to move it, therefore for a given engine size it will provide better economy.
