first off... someone is saying that ER services are "basic healthcare"?
I believe that if you go there with most minor issues many go to the doctor for... they will turn you away until it becomes serious...
but the most important thing here is... they are counting the costs of the services that they usually charge in the ER as "lost revenue" that they are attempting to make up through the pricing in other parts of the hospital... this is why the system is out of control now... because fools say "ER will do it" and it costs everyone with health care $100 to get an aspirin in the hospital because they are trying to make up for that ER visit that they estimate costing tens of thousands...
the ER doesn't provide basic medical care... only emergency... it's a huge difference...
the systems way broke... and the pricing has NO CONTROLS ON IT... AND NO CONSERVATIVES CARE!
and the people who I have talked to in Canada say that they have never waited to go to the doctor or on a surgery... and I know many in America that wait on many lists for certain surgeries with certain doctors?

First of all health care is available to everyone have you ever heard of State run hospitals they are free, the only problem a lot a of people don't want to go to them because they are government run.
Second affordable government health care that is a oxymoron please give me an example of a government run program that is affordable and efficient. They have example of universal health care around the world Canada, Britain etc if you like 50% tax rate, long waits for care and inferior care then lets go.
You do realize that those that can afford it will go the the private system with their better doctors (better pay) state of the art facilities and of course no waiting. Then the bitching and whining from those that have to go to government health care will start all over again.

Yes it should, absolutely. However, the United States is a country driven by money and greed, and almost everybody tries to take an advantage of other people's dilemma. As long as we have greedy pharmaceutical companies, greedy doctors, and greedy attorneys, affordable health care will never be available to all. It is immoral to make a fortune out of sick and dying people.
Medical cost in Europe is about three times lower than that of the U.S. Consequently medical insurance rates in Europe are much lower. This is affordable health care.

No,look at canada right now,6 weeks minimum wait for heart surgery and longer than that for simple surgeries.Look at their cost of living, all due to free health care.I like being able to choose my doctors.People can get emergency health care and not get turned away. There are many health care programs for those who cannot afford it,if you have children you can get plenty of public assistance with health care.

Wrongo fella. Every hospital is legally and ethically bound to provide basic health services to anyone regardless of their insurance or lack thereof. Why do you think so many ERs in So. Cali. have packed it in? They are going broke treating too many people without the ability to pay. Whoever is telling you the information you have is flat out wrong or you are just assuming facts you have not researched. Either way you are wrong.
As to your direct question, sure, I'd like to see cheaper healthcare. Who wouldn't? I want cheaper cars as well.

There are plenty of things our government should address, however our government no longer works for us, we work for them.

Not sure, but to say the least, health care must be reformed. The government has the power to help achieve this. BUT, they don't care. At least Clinton tried his best to do something about it.
