how do you get rid of a gas smell from a small spill in my garage ( which is underneath my bedroom?

I had a small tin for my lawn mower with gas and my son tipped it ! now my whole house smells fom the stuff

Air out your house by opening the windows,and open your garage door. The fumes will build up and you will have a gas explosion if you do not do this. I used to be a fireman and I know.
Your whole house could blow up by you just turning on a light switch.

Put some paper towels on the spot and then put hot water on them, take your foot and rub it around and around to get as much as you can off.Then take vinegar and pour it on the spot, put a paper towel over that and let it sit.Wipe up later and see how that worked.I have poured dry detergent on the gas stain and let it sit over night, then just swept it off the cement.It worked but it was outside the garage.....

Go buy Cat litter and put it on top of the spill,
that will absorb it. In the house put bowls of white vinegar and leave them over night, vinegar will absorb the odors. you might have to leave it a few nights.

is it was a small amount, there is absortion possible, wash the area with laundry soap, small amount of water and a scrub brush. then rinse with water. make sure u air the area out as fumes could cause a problem with water heater, light switch and anything that could cause a spark. good luck
