It helps fans identify who they are. Many people are all the time tuning in and out of the program and also, if any new people get hooked, they can keep everyone straight. Also, it's a huge merchandise thing too that helps sell t-shirts and other things the same color of the wrestler's trunx(underwear).

I think it is so you can tell who they are, like when the cheer squad had their names on their shirt. I could never tell which one was which.

dont know they probaly want to be noticed by critics and be noticed by fans so that way they could get more publicity from their matches.
