Ahh.....this is going to be an overly long answer and end talking (well, writing) about a movie, of all things.
NYR's? Of course not. NYR's are about breaking bad habits and they can't be broken overnight, especially a night like 12/31. But that's not to say NYR's are a bad idea.
NYR's are about making yourself a better person and are a recognition of goals you know SHOULD be met, even if they can't be achieved immediately. We look at NYR's as something we will stop (or start) TODAY; maybe we should look at them as things we will achieve DURING the NEXT YEAR.
And now on to the movie..........................
One of the funniest movies I ever saw was "Groundhog Day." You've seen it too.
Bill Murray woke up every day into the same day he had lived before. And he RELIVED that same day, every day, but each time he did it, HE MADE THE DAY A LITTLE BETTER.
Remember the piano lessons!
Groundhog Day was not a comedy about somebody stuck in a recurring cycle..............it was about what we can all do each time the sun rises.
New Year's Resolutions.....yes. How about New Day Resolutions......and thank you very much for putting the question out there.

I tend not to make New Year's resolutions anyway. People generally pick fairly shallow ways to improve themselves in their resolutions and I am not interested in self-satisfied self-reflection.
