Hmmm 4X4 dually suburban, dont think you can buy one of those. You would be better off finding a 1-ton 4X4 sub, and start from there. 1990 would be the last year solid axle square body and also had TBI injection. Some had 454 big blocks, and you might want something big for a big truck. You will need a dually rear end, and I have seen dually fenders used most effectively on suburbans, but mostly the 2WD variety. So use the 2WD truck to haul the parts home for your project dually. otherwise get a 4X4 dually truck, for all the running gear, then put it all under your truck, look forward to long nights with the welder and grinder. As long as you have a donor truck, and time to put it together, you should be able to do it, like it was factory.

If the 90 has 700R, you will have to disassemble both and use parts off the back of the 4wd trans so the transfer case will bolt on. You have to use the output shaft and short extension housing off the 4wd trans. After so much work disassembling. you just as well rebuild the transmission you are going to use. Otherwise, just get another transmission from a 4wd.
