You could still be pregnant. There are many friends of mine that have had a period for a couple of months but still been pregnant. I would test again and see what is says or go to the doctor or both.

this happened to me a few months ago... I took an ept and it came up positive. I started my period like two days later. I went to the doc because i had already made the appt and they told me to come even though i had started my period. A blood test showed I wasnt pregnant....Go to doctor. I was devastated b/c i have been ttc for months,,,hopefully the turnout will be better for you because u can have a period while pregnant....good luck

A home pregnancy test will very rarely give you a false positive result. It is possible to bleed some during pregnancy. Contact a doctor and have them confirm the HPT.

You are bleeding? Heavily? First, you won't get a false positive on a pregnancy test. If it said you're pregnant, then you're pregnant. If you're bleeding now, call your doctor. Sometimes a little bleeding is normal early in pregnancy, but only a little.

It is possible to bleed while pregnant, although it's not a period. I bled throughout the first few months of my pregnancy and ended up having placents previa. Bleeding may indicate a problem so it should be reported to your OB.
