My cousin had the a problem like that.
But he would come over, stay till about 1-2 am (past bed time) and have to cal his parents to go home. With him it was like he couldnt stay away from his home. He did grow out of it thou.
If you realy wana hang out. Box up your video game player and go stay at his house.
It also could be because he pees the bed or has night terrors or something rare. So dont pry.

There can be many reasons, but the one that comes to mind is that he may be a bedwetter still. (this is more common than most people think). My mom wetted til she was 12, my brother was still having accidents in high school and now my newphew (almost 18) is still wetting occasionally.
Dont push the issue about sleeping over, just hang out and be friends.

some times kids don't want to miss anything that might happen at home especially if they have a tough home life they might worry that something might happen to their parents or siblings and then again they just might not feel comfortable at other peoples houses.. I could never sleep over at anyones house for a few reasons, one was that I couldn't go to the bathroom at any one elses house,my brother cant sleep anywhere other then his own bed. it is probably not you, people have lots of reasons for doing what they do often it is totally unrelated to others

Maybe he is a secret bedwetter or sleeps with a teddy bear or something. Maybe his mom just says it is ok to you but still tells him no. Just hang out with him and then let him go home.

Okay so this may sound babieish but your friend may have a bladder problem. It isn't uncommon for some boys to have a bed wetting problem up into their teens,. It may be embarrassing to him but I assure you he probably can't help it, most can't it's something in the brain that doesn't click on when they have to go in thier sleep.

well at the ages 14 and 15 the concept of sleepovers to male have become awkward. They seem to yell HOMOSEXUAL to guys who partake in all male sleepovers
