Since the start of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, approximately 159,000 U.S. persons have died...in the U.S....in traffic accidents. How many times a day is that carnage reported? It isn’t.
And why don’t we march on Washington D.C. to end this mindlessness claiming more than 53 times the number of lives as Iraq?
Because we know there's a price for auto transportation. How much more for this noble effort that newly liberated nations might secure a lasting freedom for themselves and posterity?
All-in-all Mr. President and members of congress, I owe my gratitude to each of you who had the courage to state what you believed all along, whether I agreed or not. Thank you, most of all, for your courage.
Mayor Koch, you had the uncommon bravery to say this: http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2006/12/27/124023.shtml
And what are the Iraqi's really saying?

You and I both know that auto transportation is worth more to joe public than his family. He just hasn't realised that Iraqis must die to supply the gas to drive to Walmart.
"Newly liberated nations"? Please. If your country had stopped propping Saddam up 20 years ago, they might be an established democracy by now, with no US generic bloodshed.

Driving and war are completely different. People choose to drive, the soldiers did not choose to fight in Iraq.
With your reasoning the following would be true.
Right after Steve finished his speech on the steps of The White House, a major earthquake occurred in Brazil, killing 5,000 people. Clearly, we should not let Steve ever make any more speeches!

Your figures just go to show how hypocritical this country is: If we really cared about life, we would reinstate the 55 MPH speed limit, we would make sure that ALL drunk drivers went to jail, we would insist that cars be safer, etc. etc.
I'm sorry...I just don't buy you conservatives' ideas of "collateral damage"--just to make a buck.

People dying in car crashes isn't putting our country into debt. People dying in car crashes isn't whats propogating an illegal occupation for oil--GWB is. I too--admire a man who stands behind his convictions, hopefully Bush will too and decide to resign rather than let our country spend the money it will take to have him impeached. When your wrong--your wrong, regardless of what's going on in your own mind.

You do comprehend who Bush's vp became, do no longer you? If Bush have been impeached, Dick Cheney might have become President of america. no person, no longer even Cheney's mom needed that to ensue.

Reporting car wrecks doesn't make Bush look bad so you won't hear about them as much as you hear about it when terrorists murder American soldiers and the media tried to blame Bush for what the terrorists are doing.

An accident isn't a war where most would still be alive!
What are you going to compare next? There is no comparison!
Go fight in one and let me know if there is. I have, you haven't!
You don't have a damn clue what war is like!
