i will assume your in the USA . i am in Canada. we have universal health care. that means we all have the same health care millionaires and people without one cent go to a doctor or hospital and will get the same level of care as each other.
this is something that we have come to see as our greatest accomplishments.
Canada is not alone in having this sort of system various similar plans are in place in most of the rich nations and the USA is really behind on this. i know that many Canadians and others who have this system find it hard to think that you this country that keeps referring to yourself as the greatest nation ever don't have health care for all.
i think all of you rich and poor young and old should tell the federal government that this is something they must have in place . managing to do this will not be cheap but at the same time it will not be so expensive as to cause the private person to feel any drain on your money.
i would myself tell the government to cut back on some of the military spending and military usage as well i would note some of the crazy things i hear about each year that your government has spent millions on .
this is not ment as an insult to you USA people but is instead just a suggestion made to you because it seems as though you are not aware that your so far behind in this matter.
good luck

Why does the rich man have better health care then a person without money? And why is one person paid more then another? The presumption here is because rewards go to were society wants. A doctor is paid more then a person serving burgers, because they had to work harder to get there, and society values the service more. Sorry but most people that are elected are usually both richer and more valued then the average citizen, not to mention the fact that they get to vote on their own health care benefits!

Our Canadian friend thinks that their country has the same benefits as a rich person. Sounds pretty native to me! Sure they get some level of health care, but to believe that they will get any treatment (in the world) regardless of cost, I don't think so!

Also there is the belief that because people don't have health care insurance in the US that they don't get medical care. That is not true. As pointed out, even people that are in the country illegally get medical care.

Because elected officials voted themselves those benefits and since they are superior to what the average Joe gets, why lower their benefits to match ours. On the other hand they refused to vote to give us the universal heath care they are currently receiving. It is another case of I got mind, but since I control the purse strings you ain't going to get yours. Have you ever heard any one running for office say that they were in favor of giving the same benefits as Congress gets to the average Joe?

while confronted with that question, Boehner defined that he on no account reported each and every of the charges could be open, in uncomplicated terms a number of them. (That grew to become into an extremely strange clarification.) in spite of the undeniable fact that it is beside the point. Pelosi made the comparable promise. maximum new audio equipment make comparable claims. Then the time consists of govern and that they locate them impractical. no one who will pay interest surely believed him. besides, he would not have the votes interior the Senate to even get them to think approximately it and clearly the President could veto the variety of repeal besides. in the event that they tried to defund it, they could locate themselves with a dropping political conflict (no one needs an entitlement, as quickly as given, to be taken away) and with the regulation on the books, the investment could be restored later (in the event that they gain reducing it in the beginning) with out the choose for the super debate we had the 1st time around. long-term, Obama gained the well being-care combat. there is so plenty extra to do, this reform would not bypass virtually far sufficient (and that i think of given the congress he grew to become into working with, he would have completed plenty extra useful), yet he made an important step interior the suited direction that strikes the ball on the argument down the line.

Great question! Also why doesn't the average US citizen have the same retirement plan as our elected officials?

Because we have a "democracy", in name only. I was just getting ready to post a question on Chief Justice Roberts stating that the salaries of federal judges are grossly inadequate. District court judges make $165,000; appeals, $175,000; supreme court justices, $203,000 and Roberts himself makes $212,000. Let's factor in their benefits, especially their pensions, and health insurance alongside the average working American and we're supposed to RESPECT these people?

I am sure you are aware of the "Pecking Order" that applies to the human race. The people at the top, get all the care benefits, and other goodies as well. The ones at the bottom are lucky to get the crumbs.

Why doesn't the average citizen get paid as much either? I presume since they make policy there entitled to a few perks. Rewards are earned, never given. Have we forgotten that?!
