[to the answerer above] actually, i'm a manicurist and it's not the only job i can get. i speak english fluently and i was born here. check your facts please.
if you're talking about the majority of people that do nails being asian.. i don't really know. it was something i was kind of raised into. it pays well, and a lot of people get their nails done. and it's not all asian people. open your eyes and take a look around. there are people of all races that do nails. it's pretty easy to learn and it doesn't take too long to get certified for it. there aren't too many negative things to it.. but the thing that gets me the most are close minded and annoying clients. [cough?]

If I'm reading your question right. Maybe you need to look around. There are several nail techs in the salon I work in. We are all very different.

They have connections with other people who are doing the same thing and they get them jobs in the salons plus not sure but a lot of them get paid off the books I would think.

Don't know, but if you're talking about it being done by a majority of Asians, I think they're pretty smart. It doesn't take long to get the certification to do it, but pays well. It's a highly sought after service. I don't get mine done now, but have always been pleased with my nails in the past.

idk? that is a good ?? it's not like that if you go to salons of a higher status though. more $$ but i think it's worth it.
