I just created a website, how long will it take for a search engine like google or msn live to find my site?

Even if you've placed the meta tag in your site code, it could take around three months for it to be recognized. Best thing to do is simply enter the name of your website in the search box and see if it comes up, then expand and put in the keywords you listed on your meta tag and see if that also brings it up. Plus, be sure the keywords are not so broad that it brings up a ton of similar sites.

Generally you will get listed quicker if you submit your site. Links usually found on search engine FAQ pages. Other than that, you never know, depends on how well you have done your meta tags & keywording. .
