Also, I have been very moody and mean the past few weeks. I haven't had my period for this month either and I was supposed to start sometime in the middle of December. I don't have extremely regular periods, but I usually have one a month, just not at the same time of month. I just want to sleep so much. My husband and I don't want to get our hopes up and buy a test yet so I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight.

Since you are hopeful, I don't want to get your hopes up, but absolutely fatigue and sleepiness are signs of pregnancy. These feelings (especially the overwhelming sleepiness) are caused by your body's reaction to the hormones of pregnancy. Go ahead and get a test--If I were a betting woman (and I am!) my money would be on a positive result!

I can understand your situation since this happens for those that have irregular periods. First Winter season causes once to sleep longer, so that is not a sure shot sign, second fatigue can be associated with various causes. Being moody can be attributed to PMT or even to pregnancy related cases, so these are confusing signals. The sure shot indicator would be to watch out for
1. Poor eating habits... do you feel nausea when you look at certain foods.
2. Is there a periodic heartburn without reason.
3. Do feel that by drinking something limey or sour you would feel better etc.!

But above all the best way to do this to get a "BETA HCG" Blood test done. If you are pregnant this will trace the pregnancy right from the 1st week and you will be able go for an early check-up with your doc. This will work both ways incase if you are not pregnant and have not got your period either the doc will also want to take a look to suggest something about your irregular periods.

Just get the test. All of those symptoms could be a sign of pregnancy...or a sign of your period coming. Might as well find out.

There are many signs to look for, but yes, those are common symptoms. Kind of like PMS moods, sleepy, maybe a little queasy. Tender breasts...
Go with it, as though you are---Watch what you eat (no drugs, alcohol) keep away from chemicals, and wait and see,
Good luck!

Totally! The inability to stay awake was overwhelming each time I was pregnant.
Congratulations!

Why dont you get a pregnancy (urine) test done to confirm instead of agnozing about it.
