What's the best way to insert the trans. dipstick tube after installing the trans.?

Does the rubber bushing in the tranny need to be crimped on before tube is replaced in tranny? 1996 Dodge Ram 1500-5.9

install grommet in the transmission case first, then using lubricant insert stick in to grommet.

The o-ring seal just needs a little grease to seat the tube, the transmission to engine bolt holds it in.
