Yes I was, as a witness to a crime. It worked. I still, after all these years, feel the effects. And, once I was hypnotised by The Amazing Kreskin, himself as part of his stage show in Orlando. It was spooky....I think I must be an easy subject for hypnotism.

Yes I was hypnotised many years ago. I had put on a stone (14lbs.) in weight and I just couldn`t get rid of it no matter how I tried. The hypnotist asked me what sort of foods I had found difficult to give up, and asked me how much exercise I did etc. Then he `put me under`. I remembered everything that he said ; his voice was very soothing and I felt completely relaxed. When he `wakened me up` He gave me a tape recording of the session, and told me to play it if and when I thought I needed to. When I got out of his office I felt great, happy and energetic as I went to the car-park to pick up my car. In fact if I hadn`t got my car, I am sure that I could have flown home un-aided! Yes it did work, I lost the weight I had put on plus another stone. Whats` more I have not put any weight on since. He treated my friend who wanted to stop smoking, she felt the same experience as me. She stopped smoking altogether with in six weeks and has not smoked since.

You have probably experienced hypnosis yourself. If you have ever "zoned out" or lost track of time than you have most likely experienced this. Have you ever read a book for an hour and you looked up and it only felt like 5 minutes? This is essentially a state of trance which is what hypnosis is. Hypnosis does work and yes you remember. It does not rob on of ones will or memory. The hypnotist does not control the subject. It is a natural state of trance or meditation that is not magical and is accessable to all.

I was hypnotized and I was skeptical at first. I wanted to know if I had control while under, and you do have control. I woke up before the count of 3 and it was like being stoned. I was put back under in a hurry because the feeling can last for several hours. When I came too, I felt great. Energized. I remember every detail. I got to fly around my city on a magic carpet and it was fun. I found the experience relaxing and gave me energy. It is hard to explain, but if you do this, have a licensed professional hypnotize you.

I was hypnotised on a regular basis to help me to relax and have more confidence.................. it helped me relax at the times when I played the tapes back to myself - but I don't think I was more confident.
I was also hypnotised for regressional purposes by someone else, and I don't think he was able to get me under deep enough. I kept that on video! It looked like I was under, but I think there were so many distractions with background noises and him calling me by another name, that it didn't work.
I think you need to like and trust the person who is hypnotising you.

I've had hypnotherapy for panic attacks, had them for years and just one session got rid of them; I never get them at all now.
You don't go completely blank as you'd never know the subconscious trigger that they put into your head to counteract it.
It felt to me like the moment when you wake up from a deep sleep but still remember little bits from it.

Also agree with the one below, you get this weird natural high for hours after it's been done.

Yes. It works, but not like you are probably thinking. I remember everything that happened under hypnosis and I was in full possession of all faculties.

PS Cheryls reminded me of the " stoned feeling " of the first and only first, session.

I tried as a means to quit smoking, but I could not be hypnotized. Was told its because Im too alert and subconsiously keep control of my body.I tried real hard though.

One it's not to be messed with as people who are easily succeptable to it can allow others to suggest thing to them and then act on them.

Most people though can't be hypnotized without their consent and willingness to relax into it.

Most people remember everything, becuase all hypnosis is, is a very relaxed state of being. It's like meditation. Many people even do self hypnosis all the time without realizing they are.

Most children use self hypnosis to concentrate as they are learning. Like when the parent calls to the child to come, they don't come and the parents goes into the room the child is is and asks them. "Why didn't you come when I called you." The child honestly answers I didn't hear you. It's very common in small children.

Do not allow someone who isn't a professional with years of experience though to ever use it as a game on you. You are choosing to allow someone to mess with your mind.

People who act like animals while under hypnosis do so becaue they are willing to be that way. I've had a professional try to make me act a certain way under hypnosis and I immediately came out of it, becuase I'll not allow myself to act that way or be controlled.

In case you are thinking of using it on someone else, understand it's criminal without their understanding it and informed concent. You could land in jail over a game.

You mess with someone playing with hypnosis and you don't know their past, their secrets, you could do it with someone who has been raped, abused and trigger unintentially their internal protection mode and instead of controling them or having a little fun, their subconscious mind could see you as someone trying to harm them and cause them to attack you. So it's not a game.
