Perhaps seeing the VERY BEGINNING of what may be the creation of new life is too much for all of us "dumb viewers" to take, but on the flip side the taking of life, well that's okay for us dummies.
Who knows, what the actual reason is? I would assume that it is the religious convictions of the buying public (they have to get money to pay the guy with the erect penis or the guy with the gun from somewhere)
While I have definite religious convictions of my own, and don't want to condemn mine or others - it seems that the Bible has no problem with death, and a lot of problems with sex. Being that the majority of the population of USA is Judea/Christian, I would assume that that is the reason for the asexual murderers we see on the TV.
As for which is actual pornography - I think graphic murder.

sadly this might lead to revolt in the kitchen.
and thousands of wives being called hypocrites
bcos they are glued to the telly like some men are watching Match of the Day.
i suppose the main point is that if those images were viewed by underage children, it would leave the offending station at risk of being sued, quite horribly. ok so most adults would not be bothered perhaps unless it makes them feel significantly inferior but a young child might be led astray by such a thing.
i suppose the theory is that if a child sees violence in terms of killing, they are probably not going to take the implications in completely anyway.
i agree with u vaguely but have to stand by protecting the young from unsuitable material. which is funny bcos apparently on the web, most of them have seen it anyway.

The thing is, we don't see gruesome, violent murders on TV very often. Not real ones that is. They did not show Saddam's hanging because it was the real thing. There is a distinction between reality and fiction and most times it's not a pretend c0ck.

I am more than happy not to see either. I think they both border on pornographic.
When I turned away from the video of Saddam Hussain's hanging my son yesterday said that people wouldn't be bothered about watching it as they were immune to violence after watching so much on TV every day.
Regrettably I think he is right. How sad is that?
And do we really want our youngsters thinking that walking around showing your manhood erect is ok?
Yuck!

Good point, in the UK it’s gone too far. I recently watched a nature program about Rhino’s. It showed you how they lived, hunted, shopped, partyed, even the secret art of making sweet rhino love. At this point to my amazement the Rhino’s genitals had been pixelated out and to add insult to injury one of the camera crew was made to cover the beasts with a large bed blanket/throw.
How ironic that on his way back the camera crew person was torn to shreds by a chavy pride of lions (and a goose) and you guessed it, we were aloud to see that.

a porn artist once said it is strange that it is ok to show a man have is head blown with graphic detail but seeing a man ejactulate on a womans face is deemed to be to disgusting to be shown on tv.
sex is natural and is nothing to be ashamed of. killing other people is digusting but we get to see it every day
strange world we live in

it is assumed that a man murdering someone and the murdered male have an erection at the moment of death and killing. Look closely you will see a little bulge there on every murdered actor

I agree. It would be much more appealing to a lot of people.
Besides, think of all that is shown of female bodies.
A lot of tele rules make no sense to me either.
